A Place to Pause, Reflect and Belong.
Worship on Arran is open to everyone. You do not need any background knowledge, experience of church, or particular beliefs to take part. People come for all sorts of reasons, including reflection, community, tradition, curiosity, or simply a quiet moment in the week.
Across the island, we gather each Sunday in different communities, creating space for people to come together, reflect, sing, listen, and share time with others. Each gathering has its own character, shaped by the local community it serves.
What to Expect.
Our services are simple, welcoming and accessible. You will find a mix of music, readings, reflection and prayer, all aimed at helping people connect faith with everyday life. There is no pressure to know what to do or say, and you are welcome to take part as much or as little as you feel comfortable with.
Tea and coffee are often shared before or after services, giving time to catch up, meet people, and be part of the wider community.
Who Leads Worship.
Services are led by our Minister and our Church & Community Worker, together with members of the church community. People from across Arran take part in leading readings, music, prayers and other parts of worship. Church life here is shared, and many people contribute in different ways.
Worship as Part of Island Life.
Church gatherings are only one part of a much wider life together. Alongside Sunday services, there are opportunities to connect through community events, groups, and support networks throughout the year.
We also mark important moments in life together, including weddings, baptisms and funerals, offering support and care when it is needed most.
Come As You Are.
Whether you are exploring faith, returning after time away, new to the island, or simply curious, you are welcome. There is a place for you here, and you do not need to be anything other than yourself.
